Hey There
We're the Tuffs and the Hills. Four friends, two families who live in Calgary and have experienced the life-changing impact of e-bikes. It just so happens that the combination of our last names is the most common barrier to biking: those tough hills!

We're here to help you change the way you move in your city.

Our Story
This is a story of reconnection to simplicity. A casual unfolding of seemingly insignificant moments among four ordinary people.

It wasn't until we relived those moments out loud with each other that we saw the connection. We all enjoyed biking but somehow it had become complicated.

One summer night, our insignificant moments became the inspiration to build a bike for us ordinary Calgary folk. A bike that would overcome our biking barriers and reconnect us to the fun and simplicity of riding that we all loved.

The Values that Keep Us on Track

1. Every biker is unique.
Your biking experience should allow you to feel authentic to who you are. The beauty of biking is that it means different things to different people. Whether you want to ride alongside your loved ones, commute to work or adventure through the Rockies, we want you to feel comfortably yourself on your bike. Come as you are, ride as you are.

2. Spend more time riding your bike than worrying about it.

Our bikes are built with high quality, low maintenance components to maximize practical simplicity and minimize unnecessary waste, whether it be your time, money or energy. When you buy our bikes, you are ready to roll.

3. Biking needs to be fun.

If it's not fun, you won't do it. We don't take ourselves too seriously. Our bikes are built to inspire connection and adventure in everyday life. Whether test riding our bikes with us or riding away on your new e-bike, interactions with us should be fun, elicit smiles, and potentially even laughter or shouts of joy (you’ve been warned!).

4. Biking is just as much about community as it is about transportation.

Biking has a magical way of bringing people together. We love e-bikes, yes, but not as much as we love the people who ride them. If we change the way people move, we change the way they interact with their community, city and the world.

The Bottom Line:

Electric bikes will fundamentally change the way we move. Starting with where we live, we want to see Calgary become a more people-centric, environmentally friendly, financially viable and community-oriented city, one e-bike ride at a time.
